5 Cool Halloween Party Games For Kids

Every Halloween party needs Halloween party games. A couple games are usually enough to keep your guests entertained. If you overdo it and have too many games planned you may actually harm the flow of your party.

Games should be age appropriate. You should consider the group you are working with. If you are having a child's party your Halloween party games are going to be fairly short so you will need a few more to keep the attention of your young guests.

1. Some fun games for children's parties can include a hay maze to get the kids lost in. A few treats along the way to be found like prizes are always a big hit. Your maze can be made with bales of hay or you can have a cornfield maze. Whatever way you plan the maze it is usually a hit with kids.

2. Scavenger hunting is another great Halloween party game. Kids love these, and so do adults. You can start off with one clue and have your group seek the next clue or you can give them multiple clues at once and really blow their minds.

3. Mummies are fun at Halloween parties. A fun Halloween party game can include making a mummy with toilet paper or gauze. You can have a contest to see which team can make their member into a mummy faster.

4. Passing the pumpkin under your chin is another fun game. You do not want to use full size pumpkins. In fact, you may want to use an apple instead of a pumpkin. Get your group in a line and everyone clasps their hands behind their own back. The fruit is passed under the chin of the members of the group in a line and hands cannot touch the fruit. The first team to get their pumpkin to the end of the line wins. Of course, if you drop the pumpkin you have to start over.

5. Build a scarecrow, pin the art on the witch, guess the ghost, and bobbing for apples are al fun games to keep your group entertained. Traditional Halloween party games can include pumpkin carving. You can have a contest. This is always a good way to get creative with your party. You can give prizes for many different categories.

Whatever party ideas you have let your imagination go wild and modify the game to fit your group. Halloween is a day to be creative and let your hair down. Enjoy it while you can.

Cute Infant Halloween Costumes

When you're deciding among newborn costumes, take a moment to think about whether you prefer a bunting -- which will cover those little feet on a cold evening -- or a dress or pants and shirt. The right answer depends on how cold it is where you live, what your baby tends to prefer, and what you tend to prefer.

The ideas for newborn costumes are without limit. Here are a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing:

1. Baby Tomato: You can buy a costume or make one at home. If you choose to make one, get a red bunting or red pants and top. You can make seeds from felt and place them on the front of the tomato outfit. A little hat will top off the costume and look adorable at the same time. With green felt, you can make a stem and attach it to the red hat with a few moments of sewing.

2. Baby Super Girl or Super Boy: Use red knee high socks, a cape, and a light blue outfit to make this costume. With felt, you can cut out the letter "B" (for a boy) or the letter "G" (for a girl) and attach it to the chest of the costume with thread. The sewing is so easy even I could do it.

3. Baby Carrot: An orange bunting and cap make for an easy infant carrot costume. Use green felt to make leaves and attach them to the orange cap with thread. This is such an easy costume to make and will look cute at the same time.

Be sure to take a lot of photographs so you can share the memories with your little one when he or she grows up. Halloween offers a fun time to become someone or something different for an evening and to exercise our creativity whether we make or buy a costume.

Give Her the Perfect Valentine's Day

Most women expect to have their Valentine's Day present given to them usually over dinner. What your girl will not expect to get is a full days worth of surprises. This will work only if both of you have the day off. This might be something that you want to plan ahead of time so the two of you can take vacation days from work so you can enjoy the entire day together.

Once you have the day to spend together alone, you should start the day out by surprising her with breakfast in bed. You can make it something simple yet elegant. Make her favorite breakfast or go with something simple like her favorite take out. The whole point is to get up before she wakes and wake her with her breakfast in bed. After breakfast you can spend the morning together lounging in bed or take a stroll through the park where you can treat her to a picnic if you live where the weather is warm. If not you can take her somewhere romantic for a quaint little lunch.

If you opt for a picnic, you can go to any supermarket and have them pack up a fried chicken meal already prepared for a wonderful picnic lunch in the park. All you need to bring is the blanket to lie on and the utensils. Don't forget to bring something special to drink and pick a secluded spot to give you and her some privacy. If it is a cold area then make your living room into a romantic picnic. She will love the effort and spontaneity.

After your romantic lunch, do something fun such as taking in a movie together that she has wanted to see. Depending where you live you can have fun in the sun or go ice skating. No matter what you choose make sure it is something that the two of you can do together. You can make it something that the two of you have never tried before. Roller skating, ice skating or if you are both really into sports take in a laser tag game where you can battle each other.

Finish off the day with a romantic dinner for two either at home (where you cook the meal) or at her favorite restaurant. You can even surprise her with reservations at a top of the line place that she has always wanted to try. Once dinner is over then you can spoil her by finishing off her day by giving her the perfect bubble bath. This will give her a day she will never forget.
