Sexy Wizard Wanda Potter Halloween Costume - LARGE

Sexy naughty wizard will cast a spell on you! Costume includes dress with pleated hem, cape with attached collar and neck tie, glasses and wand.

Snowglobes have intrigued the hearts of men and women as far back as I can remember. And why wouldn't they? Not only are they creative, they all seem to take on their own life and lavishness. Just one little shake and you can't help but be hooked.

But I wouldn't bring you over here just to hear a story about a snowglobe would I?

Great reasoning!

So what is this about?

At Christmas time, consumerism abounds promising happy hearts for young and old alike who make this or that special product the gift of Christmas. Heartwarming Christmas movies become the box office attraction for movie goers all over the world. TV takes its annual holiday classics to the masses and advertising moguls flood our eyes and emotions with enchanted commercials that would even melt the heart of Frosty with their warmth. And who can overlook those wonderful Christmas carols that serenade us everywhere we go.

"May all your Christmases be white," one carol states.

It seems the world is alive with the magic and aglow with a spell of enchantment.

I have one word for all this.

SNOWGLOBE!

You ever notice when you shake a snowglobe that you can't help but get lost in its solemnness and elegance. Snow has never looked so pretty and peace on earth seems to be reflected in each flake that falls. Sometimes you just want to crawl inside and lose yourself in its panorama of tranquility.

"If life were only like this snowglobe,"
one can't help but reason.

I wonder if this was a little of what Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was feeling when he penned the poem that became the song, "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day"? Wrestling with the loss of his wife a couple years prior in a house fire, the crippling wounding of his son in the American Civil War that still raged as he heard the bells that Christmas day so long ago and took up his pen to write,

"I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

And in despair I bowed my head:
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men."

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor does He sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men."

If we are not careful, we can become convinced that the message of Christmas is all about making life for us like a snowglobe.

It isn't, you know?

The message of Christmas is really about the chaos we all want to escape, not in the snowglobe enchantment we all seem to chase this time of year. When you think about it, scripture tells us that Jesus had the snowglobe, but He crawled out of it to enter our chaos.

The next time you get swept away in the magic, remember the real message of Christmas. It's about God entering our world in all its chaos, not its enchantment. When you shut out all the noise this time of year and hear the sounds of bleeding, broken and lonely hearts all around you reminding you of this, you are now seeing Christmas as it was meant to be seen.

It was not an enchanting castle where Christ would be wrapped in robes of royalty that He chose for His bed that first Christmas night, it was a stable and a meager manger, wrapped in swaddling clothes.

Doesn't sound much like a snowglobe, does it? But then, neither does our lives.

This sexy, mythical costume was once a beautiful sea nymph! This Sexy Medusa Adult Costume includes a velvet type dress with gold trim and attached veils and a snake headpiece. This is also great for Toga Parties!

If you are like me and are a very lousy shopper and always end up getting everyone the wrong gift at Christmas time, think about a Gift-of-the-Month Club. G.O.M Clubs have all the things the lazy gift giver requires: Ease of purchase, no shopping at the dreaded mall and an almost guaranteed positive response accompanied by a monthly "At-A-Boy" from the recipient. And there are plenty of clubs to choose from for everyone on your gift-giving list.

First, you have to know your giftee. For instance, my dad is an avid coffee drinker. For him a coffee of the month club would be perfectand there are plenty of choices. At some places, You can choose anything from flavored coffees to dark roasts to a monthly sampler.

However, coffee clubs aren't the only types of gift of the month clubs. You can get Fruit-of-the-Month clubs for the vegetarian in your life. Flower-of-the-Month clubs are popular with husbands and boyfriends who are constantly screwing up. Sign up your significant other for any of the many Flower-of-the-Month clubs and you have a ready set apology landing at her doorstep every 30 days.

There are a number of other clubs for everyone in your life: Gag-of-the-Month clubs for the prankster in your life; Wine-of-the-Month clubs for the wannabe wine connoisseur; Beer-of-the-Month clubs for the sports fan; Chocolate-of-the-Month clubs for the addicted; Pizza-of-the-Month clubs for the teen or college student; and Cigar-of-the-Month clubs for Granddad.

But how do you decide the best club? The Internet is always a good place to start your research. Go to any search engine and type in Gift of the Month clubs. You will find nearly 1,000 sites trying to sell you everything from DVDs to practical jokesall shipped monthly to the recipient of your choice.

However, you need to read the payment and delivery plans carefully. Many DVD and CD plans require that you put in a lot of work, sending back a card every month telling them if you want their monthly selection. If you forget, you are stuck with whatever they send. But worse than that, the recipient of your "gift" is stuck with the bill. Is that really a gift?

You may use this article on your site as long as the 2 URL's are hyperlinked.

The Shrek movies certainly have created a huge base and while an ogre may not be everyone's dream prince, history shows it was for the lovable Princess Fiona who fell in love with the "big fella."

The Princess Fiona costume for Halloween is a perfect theme for an occasion which spans everything from horror to fantasy. And it's sure to earn you plenty of "brownie points" as others stick with the latest crazes. You'll have a great time when you choose this costume, although there are some things that you can do to spice it up. So, here are a few great tips for using the Princess Fiona costume for Halloween this year.

1. First of all, if you are going with this outfit you'll want to make sure that you get the signature dress that made her famous in the movie. A full length dress in white and purple colors which seem to change slightly as far as the shade of purple was concerned. This is also accentuated in the choices as there are different offerings providing the different purple shades.

2. If you want to have some fun with the costume, consider changing it up with the human and ogre look. Remember, Fiona was first a human, then turned ogre, then turned human, and back to ogre again. Well, if you get the ogre mask to go along with the costume, you can go back and forth between being the human version and the ogre version of Fiona. Simply take the mask off from time to time and really have fun with this costume. No one will know which one you are supposed to be.

3. A Tiara is a Must - Of course since you are a Princess, you'll want to make sure that you have a tiara with the Princess Fiona costume. Sometimes you'll find that the tiara will come with the rest of the costume. However, in some cases you may end up having to actually purchase the tiara separately. Some of them even come with little ogre ears on them as well.

4. Take Along Some Friends - If you really want to have a great time with the Princess Fiona costume then consider taking along some friends with you. You'll be able to go as Princess Fiona, and your friends can play other parts, such as the Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming, Shrek, Donkey, and even Puss in Boots. You'll all have a blast and everyone will love seeing your group all dressed up in Shrek attire.

There will always be people who want their Christmas decorations to be a bit different, something unusual that will set their display apart from the rest. Whether it be using the very latest LED technology for animated outdoor displays, designer decorations from specialist artists, or just taking an old idea and giving it a new personal twist, they just want to think that their decor is unusual.

Are you one of those who would like a Christmas tree that does not look like a million others in a 20 mile radius? Maybe for the first time you have the inclination to do something different with the tree this year, but are not quite sure where to start? Here are some ideas that may help you get your thoughts together on how to create an unusual Christmas tree display, one that will get visitors to your home stop and say: "oh, that's unusual."

There are two basic ways you can achieve the unusual effect you want from your tree, and many variations of those two basics. You can also combine the two. The first is to choose a tree that is itself unusual, and the second is to decorate the tree with unusual or unique ornaments and decorations. For the big impression though, it is best not to rely on the minute detail of the ornaments, as these will not be immediately noticeable. So, for the first impact, it is best to focus on the tree itself, color and any tree decor that is immediately noticeable to someone walking in the room, such as rare lighting arrangements.

Unusual Christmas Trees

There was a time when a Christmas tree was just a Christmas tree, a real fresh cut tree brought from a tree farm or dragged from a nearby store. That was before artificial trees came on the scene and rapidly improved to the point today they make great alternatives. That definitely increases the scope for having an unusual Christmas tree display in your home.

Here are a few specific ideas:

1. Use an old tradition which has been rediscovered. Upside down Christmas trees date back centuries, in Germany, but if someone has not seen one before, it will definitely make an impact on them. While the originals were real, artificial versions are now readily available.

2. Go for a colored tree; colored other than green, that is. You can even go for a single color theme, with all decor being basically the same color as the tree, only in different shades. Pink is especially effective for this purpose, and makes a big visual impact. Light blue, navy blue, gold, and red, are all possible choices. It makes sense to find your matching ornaments before spending on the tree, just in case you have difficulty decorating your tree with right colored ornaments.

3. When it comes to decor and ornaments, the best place to make an immediate impact is with the tree topper. By choosing a larger than normal, unusually designed, and lighted tree topper you can attract quick attention to your tree.

4. You can, of course, use lighting effects to set your tree apart from the rest. However, be careful to not choose lights that will distract from the best features of your tree. For instance, with a color theme such as pink, it is better to have lights that subtly merge into the tree.

Aladdin Prestige Adult

Halloween is a fun time of year for children of all ages-and all species. For those of you who are pet lovers you might already know that you can find creative cat and dog Halloween costumes to make the holiday even more special for you and your furry friend. If this is something that you are interested in there are a few different options that you can look into to learn more about the topic. The first suggestion would be to search online to get an idea of what you would like to dress your pet up as. You can also go to the larger pet stores to see what they might have to offer you for information on the subject.

Once you know what type of creative costume your want for your pet you will need to decide what you will use for accessories. If you are planning on having your cat be a dog for Halloween you might want to have him wear bones made out of paper around his neck. Just something simple and cute like that would work. Why not have your pet's costume match the theme as your children's? Your little girl could be Bo Peep while your black lab could be her lost sheep. Looking for an idea that is a little more complicated? Have your son be Elliot and your rat terrier can be E.T. the alien. The most fun part about Halloween is that you get to let your imagination and creativity run wild.

If you are planning on taking your old pooch "trick-or-treating" with the family you will want to take this into consideration, does the costume work well with a collar and leash? You wouldn't want something tragic to happen to your beloved friend on such a joyous evening. In the even that you might be out past dark you should put reflective tape on the collar and leash of your pets. You could also purchase these accessories that are made for doing such activities in the dark. Also, make sure the costume fits properly. Too small of a costume could be hazardous to your pet because it might not allow your pet to move as easily. If danger where to head your way your pet might not be able to get out of the way in time due to the restrictions. Always be sure to never leave your pet unattended while in a costume. An animal can easily become tangled up while wearing a costume and this could lead to serious injuries or even death.

You can shop for your cat or dog Halloween costume at most pet stores. Online is another option for shopping. Many pet suppliers have catalogues that you can have shipped right to your door to look through. You will be able to mail in an order or even make a purchase online. Making your own costume is another possibility. You can find free patterns or patterns for a relatively low cost online or at fabric stores. Whichever method you decide to use to allow your pet to join in on the fun is up to you. Just be sure to have the perfect fit for the safety of your pet. Don't forget to give your pet a couple treats, too.

Halloween Costumes Scarecrow Cutie Adults Costume (discontinued)

Halloween Costumes Scarecrow Cutie Adults Costume costume includes: felt hat and dress with patches.

Little painted faces, pointy witch hats, two feet tall clowns, skeleton costumes - it's that time of year again - Halloween is here.

Tell the truth, when you rummage through the basket of your kids trick or treat candy are you checking to make sure it's safe or are you looking for your personal favorite candy bar to munch on?

Sometimes I think there is still a little bit of the child left in each of us. Who can forget the anticipation we all felt as Halloween approached. Don't you remember going out in the dark dressed up in weird costumes with your friends, and depending on your age maybe one parent lingering in the background? Don't you remember the tinge of fear mixed with a tingle of excitement?

Trick or Treat, Trick or Treat, I can still remember the well-intentioned taunt make to smiling parents of your friends and your neighbors. Then there were the nasty older kids who were only out to spoil everyone's fun and throw raw eggs that splattered on doorways and sidewalks. I wonder if they grew up to be bullies or patrons of some other form of anti social behavior.

Today there are also unfortunately the Kooks. The weirdo's who place razor blades in candy, who sneak up behind people and punch them and run off with their cherished possessions and rob them of their self-respect. I guess they are a product of the true state of terror we live in. No one is safe any more, not old people or little children, not the infirm or feeble, not the weakest amongst us, and especially unfortunately not on Halloween. And the worst is that there are terrorists lurking out there in every nook and cranny of our economic and social system waiting to take advantage of this era of our discontent.

The term Halloween (and its alternative rendering Hallowe'en) is shortened from All-hallow-even, as it is the eve of "All Hallows' Day", which is now also known as All Saints' Day. It was a day of religious festivities in various northern European Pagan traditions, until Popes Gregory III and Gregory IV moved the old Christian feast of All Saints' Day from May 13 (which had itself been the date of a pagan holiday, the Feast of the Lemures) to November1. In the ninth century, the Church measured the day as starting at sunset, in accordance with the Florentine calendar. Although All Saints' Day is now considered to occur one day after Halloween, the two holidays were, at that time, celebrated on the same day.
- Wikipedia

Today carved pumpkins called Jack-o'-lanterns are used to scare off evil spirits and for decorative purposes and the holiday has become popular as a children's event.

Isn't it time we all returned to some basic values and helped our children celebrate a holiday of treats and traditions? Isn't it time we tried to take the fear out of every day living for ourselves and for our kids? Isn't it time we looked inward to our personal clown and started to have some fun again? Why can't we just enjoy the moment?

Let's cherish our traditions. Let's spend some time with our kids. Let's bob for apples not problems. Let's have fun again. Let's give ourselves a treat and not trick ourselves into forgetting who we really are and what we stand for. Don't let a bunch of kooks and terror-nooks spook you. The guys behind the masks are the ones who are really scared.

Happy Halloween.

Material Girlie Adult Halloween Costume (Standard (One-Size))

Includes: Dress. Wig, hair tie, jewelry, gloves, microphone and shoes not included.

Have you ever sent holiday cards to your friends? For some people, sending these cards is one way of sharing the memory and experience of their holidays to their friends and family. In my case, holiday cards have become an obsession. Sending these cards is my favorite part of holidays. Not only do I purchase enough to send to friends and family back home, I also collect entire sets of cards to bring back home as keepsakes of the holidays Ive experienced.

My memories are vague when it comes to remembering the moment that I began my obsession. I think it might have started when my family received holiday cards from our relatives in Hawaii. The feeling I experience was quite powerful, I can still vividly recall that experience. It felt so good to hold that card in my hand that it almost felt as if I was in Hawaii having a wonderful time with a faceless cousin. I guess that it was during this time that I realize that if holiday cards could produce such a powerful effect on me, they would surely have the same effect on other people.

When I had grown up, got a good job and began to make a little money, I started to travel on holidays of my own. In each place I visited, I would always make it a point to stop by at the nearest tourist station to send a set of holiday cards home. My family and friends have learned to keep track of my hectic schedule through the number of cards they receive from me every year. Sending cards is also my way of letting people know that you remember them even if you are having a good time on some exotic island getaway.

I am so obsessed with sending holiday cards that my obsession has probably over taken other peoples obsession with sending out cards on festive occasions. My mother for instance would always send cards during Christmas. But even her mammoth efforts pale in comparison to my passion of sending cards on holidays. Maybe you should also try it yourself. You might also find sending holiday cards an enjoyable activity.
